Overview

New Work Orders can be created directly in QESTField Tests based on system configuration.

The ability to create work orders in QESTField Test is an optional workflow and is configurable through the QEST Administrator Console.


Adding New Work Orders

Adding new work orders can be done from the QESTField Home Page in the Work Orders workflow section  To add a new work order, click on the New Work Order workflow. This will add a work order to the home laboratory (shown in brackets) of the logged in user.

Additional Laboratories

Clicking on the Additional Laboratories drop down iconwill open a list of additional available laboratories for the current user which work orders can be added to. To add a new work order for these laboratories, click on the New Work Order workflow for the specific laboratory.

Add New Work Order Page

The Add New Work Order page will display the Work Order ID of the newly created work order.  Enter the information for the Client, Project, Customer RequirementsWork InstructionsField Technician, Work Date, Scheduled Start Time, Scheduled End Time and Location.  After all the pertinent information has been entered, click Done to save this information.

Info

Only Field Technician and Location can be edited using QESTField Tests after the work order has been added. Any corrections to the other information can be made using QESTLab.

The newly created work order will be added to the list of assigned work orders on the QESTField Home Page.
