Overview

When completing the Relative Compaction worksheet in QESTLab, the screen allows for proctor results from the same project and material type to be imported.

Over time the list of proctor results that are available for import will grow and some results will no longer be required. QESTLab provides functionality through the use of a filter to set proctor results to "Inactive". Inactive Proctor results will not be shown in the drop-down list of available samples ID's from which data results can be imported.

Enabling the Filter

A filter has been created by Spectra QEST called Proctors by Project. If this filter is not enabled it may need to be enabled through the administrator console Tree node.

Info
titleIf Filter Is Unavailable

If the Proctors by Project filter is unavailable in your database, please reach out to Spectra QEST through the service desk and we will be happy to assist.

Using the Filter

The filter used to change Proctor results to "Inactive" is located under the Tests/Documents node.

Once this filter is selected the user will be able to define a number of search criteria to refine a list of proctor results. After the search criteria has been set, click the  icon to run the filter.

The filter will populate the QESTLab tree with a list of Proctor results that are available for the given filter search criteria.

The filter will also populate the right hand pane with a list of Proctor results that are available for the given filter search criteria. The Grid Entry view must be selected to display the correct view used for this filter.

From this list, individual Proctor results can have their inactive status set to True (to be made Inactive) or False (to stay active).

Inactive Proctor results will no longer be displayed in the Sample ID drop-down list on the Relative Compaction worksheet which is used to import Proctor results.

Info
titleImporting inactive proctor results

Inactive Proctor results can still be used on Relative Compaction screens if the sample ID is manually entered in the Sample ID drop-down field.  Also, inactive Proctors will still return when using the Proctors by Project filter and can be set to an active status again if needed.
