Overview
Email and Push Notifications can be configured through the QEST Web App's Notifications administration page. Notification settings are required if the QESTField App and QESTField Scheduler are being used within the organisation in order to allow push notifications to be sent to devices.
The following properties can be set on this page:
- The Email settings section controls how email notifications are sent:
- Use Email Address of Issuing User: If set to true, notifications will be sent from the email address of the user who is issuing the notifications (default is false)
- Default Email Address: This specifies the default email address notifications will be sent from. If Use Email Address of Issuing User is true, this address will be used if the issuing user does not have an email address configured. If Use Email Address of Issuing User is false this address will always be used.
- Use Email Address of Issuing User: If set to true, notifications will be sent from the email address of the user who is issuing the notifications (default is false)
- The Push settings section controls how push notifications for the QESTField app are sent:
- Enable Push Notifications: If set to false, push notifications will not be sent. By default push notifications will be enabled. This setting should only be disabled if it is desired that email notifications exclusively be sent from the QESTField Scheduler.
