Start Curing
QEST Platform 4.81
Applies to QESTField Tests
This page describes the process of the Start Curing workflow available in QESTField tests.
Contents
Overview
The start curing workflow in QESTField allows curing information about specimens to be entered when they are received at the laboratory. It can be selected on the Work Order page under the Workflows section when concrete specimens have been added to the work order.
Specimens
The workflow displays curing information about the specimens. Specimens are labelled with their respective Specimen ID, Test Type and Test Date based on the Age of the specimen. The Standard Cure field shows the duration of standard laboratory curing that the specimen(s) will undergo after they have been received in the laboratory prior to testing. The Standard Cure durations are automatically calculated using the Date Received compared to Date and Time Batched.
Field Prompt | Expected Information |
---|---|
Standard Cure | The duration of standard laboratory curing that the specimen will undergo after being received in the laboratory, prior to testing The Standard Cure duration are immediately updated after changing the Date Received. |
Submitted By | Automatically populated with the user who opened the Start Curing workflow for a concrete sample. This field will be locked once set. |
Condition | Curing condition of the specimen(s). Used for reporting conditions of hardened concrete density tests, if reported. Can be modified later in QESTLab if necessary. |
Date Received | Date received in the laboratory for curing. When the Start Curing workflow is opened, the Date Received is automatically populated. |
Time Start Cure | Time the specimen(s) began curing in the laboratory. When the Start Curing workflow is opened, the Time Start Cure is automatically populated. |
Hours on Site | Time (in hours) the specimen(s) was on site. Calculated from the difference between the Time Moulded on the Concrete Field Data screen and the Time Start Cure from the Start Curing workflow screen. Hours on Site is immediately updated when either Date Received or Time Start Cure is modified. |
Modify Standard Cure
By pressing any specimen's standard cure
button, the duration can be modified. If a duration is manually modified it will no longer be calculated automatically. To restore automatic calculation press the button that appears after pressing the button. This change is on a specimen-by-specimen basis.Non Standard
If the hours on site is not within the standard time, a section is displayed to allow the user to record the reason and minimum and maximum temperatures for each day.
Field Prompt | Expected Information |
---|---|
Reason | Reason for non-standard hours on site, populated from the Reason Non Standard list in QESTLab. |
Min./Max. Temperature | Minimum and maximum temperatures for each day the specimen(s) were curing before they were received at the laboratory. These fields will only be shown when the Hours on Site reaches more than 36 hours. The number of days shown will depend on the Hours on Site field. |
