Reduced Tests

QEST Platform 5.2 Documentation
Applies to QESTLab

There are a number of elements common to every reduced test in QESTLab. This article describes the functionality of these elements. For differences between specific standards or test method bodies please refer to the article specific to that test method or standards body.

Supported Test Methods

Looking for the full list of test methods supported in QEST Platform? Visit this page on the Spectra QEST website.

Purpose

Reduced screens are ‘results only’ screens in QESTLab which do not perform any calculations. A reduced screen will allow the user to enter final result values related to the test method without allowing the entry of intermediate observation or measurement values or the equipment items used to carry out the test. A reduced screen will also round the final result value as required by the relevant test method. Reduced entry screens are created and maintained by Spectra QEST and can be used to enter final results calculated outside of QESTLab. Reduced screens serve two main purposes:

  1. To close gaps in test method coverage (which is often better achieved through the use of User Documents)
    1. For reporting on QESTLab native Test Reports with other test methods
    2. For analysis and inclusion on QESTLab generated management reports
  2. For importing the entered results into other native test methods for use in subsequent calculations
