Dispatchers
QEST Platform Documentation 5.4
Applies to QESTLab, QESTField Scheduler
These articles cover functionality related to the dispatch function in an organization.
QESTField Scheduler has been designed with the dispatcher in mind. Typically, the dispatcher will receive a work request via email or telephone, and be required to record some data about this work order. A new work order can easily be created in QESTField Scheduler, where the dispatcher can select from a drop-down list of clients and projects that have been saved in the QEST Platform. Project notes and general location information can also be entered or copied from a previous work order. The dispatcher can enter information about who has requested the work and their contact details, along with some work instructions so that the field technician knows what testing needs to be completed. Finally, the dispatcher can select from a drop-down list of technicians to assign the work, or create the work order and assign it to a technician at a later time.
