Applies to Construction Hive

This article outlines all of the necessary steps to onboard an organization for use of the digital sealing functionality in Construction Hive and presents a checklist of steps that must be completed.

Overview

Spectra QEST has partnered with Notarius (notarius.com) to deliver industry leading digital signing and sealing capabilities in Construction Hive. A number of steps must be taken prior to being able to use the functionality. This article summarizes the steps required and discusses company on-boarding.

Once the company on-boarding process has been completed, end users can start to be configured. The process involves a relationship with Spectra QEST as well as Notarius and use of products from both organizations. On-boarding an organization for using the digital sealing features is shown below:

Step	Description
Commercial agreement with Spectra QEST	The digital sealing functionality is sold as a separate, additional, module to the base Construction Hive subscription and must be enabled at an organizational level by Spectra QEST once a commercial agreement is in place. Please contact sales@spectraqest.com if this agreement does not yet exist.
Commercial agreement with Notarius	Notarius digital signatures are used to deliver digital sealing capability through Construction HIve. End users will need to use Notarius' CertifiO for Employees product for personal certificate management and to complete the required signing actions.

	Identify main contacts for Notarius digital signatures	The following contacts will be required (multiple roles can be held by the same individual): Main corporate contact/project manager Billing contact Technical/IT contact Two HR contacts for employee identity verification
	Download, fill out and sign Notarius Billing Account form	An organizational-level agreement with Notarius is required in order to allow end users from the organization to sign up and select the appropriate company such that employment can be verified by the HR contact(s) above. The form is available at https://notarius.com/corporatebilling
	Contact Notarius sales team with completed form	Visit https://notarius.com/en/contact/?fo=sales Enter name, email, phone number and company name as in the billing account form Enter the following text in the "Your Message" field, replacing the appropriate details. Hello, I would like to open a corporate account for [Organization Name] in order to allow our employees to use CertifiO for Employees. We will be using Notarius products through Spectra QEST's product suite, utilizing their connector. We will require Microsoft Trusted Root Certificate Program level certificates. I have attached a completed billing account form with relevant details. Upload a scan of the completed form with the form and submit Trusted Root Certificate vs. AATL Certificates Most organizations will only require Microsoft Trusted Root Certificate Program level certificates. These are software based certificates stored in a digital wallet on the end-user's machine. AATL certificates are also available if required. These certificates come at a higher cost and are stored on a hardware USB stick, potentially complicating deployment. AATL certificates should only be requested if they are absolutely necessary.
	Notarius response to corporate account setup	The Notarius sales team will respond within three to five business days to organise setting up an account. As part of corporate account setup, the email domain of the company utilizing the digital signatures will be entered in Notarius' systems. This will allow end users to select their organization via Notarius' Subscribe form.
IT Infrastructure Preparation	Identify digital sealing end-user workstations	The digital sealing functionality on Construction Hive requires Notarius software to be installed on end user workstations as well as the confirmation of network communication from the end user workstation to Notarius servers. In order to complete this installation and configuration, the necessary end user workstations must be identified.

End user setup	Grant Construction Hive Digital Seal User role	Each digital sealing user should be granted the Digital Seal User role through the Manage Users page in Construction Hive. Users Assumed to Exist This step assumes that the relevant users already exist in Construction Hive. If users must first be created see Adding Construction Hive Users for Publishing Companies for instructions on user creation. Charged Functionality Spectra QEST charges customers based on the number of active digital seal users in Construction Hive. Granting this role to users will mean that extra fees are incurred for that user.
	Obtain end user digital certificate	Please see the Digital Seal User Setup page for details on obtaining an individual digital certificate. These steps will need to be carried out by the end user.
	Configure end user seal properties	Please see the Digital Seal User Setup page for details on configuring digital seal properties.These steps will need to be carried out by the end user.
