Overview

Spectra QEST has partnered with Notarius (notarius.com) to deliver industry leading digital signing and sealing capabilities in Construction Hive. For an overview and checklist of all necessary steps and prerequisites for using the digital sealing functionality please see this page.

This article is specifically related to necessary software and IT infrastructure configuration requirements. The digital sealing functionality on Construction Hive requires some additional software to be installed on end user workstations as well as the confirmation of network communication from the end user workstation to Notarius servers. The technical team will need to plan and roll out the necessary Notarius software to all end user workstations who will complete digital sealing actions.

Required Software

Every end user that will use Notarius digital signatures in order to seal documents through the QEST Platform will need the following Notarius software installed on their workstation:

1. CertifiO Manager
2. Entrust EESP client

Administrative Rights

The installation of the above products requires administrative access on the workstation.

Obtaining Installers

All the necessary products can be downloaded from this page: https://notarius.com/en/help/download/?blsc=true. The CertifiO Suite is *not* required.

Entrust EESP 9.3 is available under the CertifiO Suite Individual Components section. CertifiO Manager is available in its own section immediately following the individual components.

Network Communication

Firewall rules or a proxy server will need to be configured such that the applications installed on each workstation can communicate with Notarius servers to activate a digital signature.
