This article details the recommended installation process for installing Adobe Reader for use with QESTLab.

Overview
Note: When installing Adobe Reader where it is to be used in support of QESTLab, it is recommended that a customised installation is undertaken to improve user experience.
It is possible to customize the installation of Adobe Reader in an enterprise setting and this is recommended when installing this third party product on application servers. Information on customizing an installer can be accessed from Adobe directly and is not covered here. This page only highlights a small number of recommended changes.
The following recommendations are not required in order for Adobe Reader to be used successfully with QESTLab, they only improve end user experience. These recommendations should be vetted internally and only applied if they meet internal policies.

Online Features
It is recommended that the Upsell and Online Features are disabled for installations alongside QESTLab on application servers.
Security
In order to allow Adobe Reader users to Save files with one click, it is recommended that the security features are modified in order to remove protected mode on startup. This is useful when QESTField Forms are used within an organization.
