Applies to QEST Web App
Recording dry mass results from moisture content tests with the assistance of barcode scanning.
Contents
Overview
Once a moisture content sample has been dried, recording the dry mass while using barcode scanning, can be achieved in two ways by:
Opening the Moisture Content - Dry Mass Entry page directly;
Using the tin’s barcode to automatically navigate to the Moisture Content - Dry Mass Entry page from the test page.
Using the Moisture Content - Dry Mass Entry
Open the Moisture Content - Dry Mass Entry page.
Scan the tin’s barcode, for example tin B52.
Enter the dry mass data into the selected field.
During a Moisture Content Test
Scanning a tin that has already been weighed with a wet mass, while on the test page, will take you directly to the Moisture Content - Dry Mass Entry page.
If a default balance has been configured for the laboratory, the required field will be selected for data entry.
If there is no default balance selected, the Moisture Content - Dry Mass Entry page will be opened but the field will not be selected, and a balance will need to be selected before proceeding any further.
Once a balance has been selected, the field required for data entry will need to be selected manually, or the tin’s barcode can be scanned again.
The above also applies if the moisture results are part of an embedded moisture content test in another test.
