Overview

A tin that has already been associated with a moisture content test cannot be used for another test, at the same time. After a moisture content test is completed, it needs to be disassociated from the tin used, so freeing the tin up for further use.

Methods of Disassociation

Automatic Disassociation

Once the weighed material is considered to be dry, the moisture content test will be automatically disassociated from the tin used.

Remove Association

The Properties tab on the Moisture Tin equipment item (QestID 30125) contains a button, Remove Association that facilitates this operation.

Deleting a Test

As could be reasonably expected, if a test is deleted, the association between the test and its tins will be broken.

Clearing the Tare ID

Deleting the contents of the Tare ID field on a worksheet will cancel the association of the test with the tin.

Failure to Disassociate

If a tin is associated with a moisture content test and that test is subsequently cancelled, excluded, or otherwise abandoned before the moisture content is determined, it will be necessary to manually disassociate the tin from the test before the tin is able to be used again.
